On May 22, 2026, Bertil Vallien made history at Kosta Glassworks when he carried out one of the most spectacular castings of his long career. The result was Voyage Grande – the world’s largest glass boat. The monumental work, a full four meters long, is the culmination of a lifelong artistry where the boat has become an icon for the journey through life, human stories and the unknown.
Now the doors are opening for an exclusive opportunity to experience the official unveiling of Voyage Grande – together with Bertil Vallien himself.
The evening begins with a mingle in the Kosta Boda Art Gallery, where you will be welcomed with sparkling wine, chocolate and fruit before it is time for the highlight of the evening. Together with the artist, the unique work is unveiled, followed by a spectacular glass show where Kosta Glassworks’ skilled glassblowers demonstrate the glowing craftsmanship that has made Kosta world-famous.
This is more than an art exhibition – it is a unique opportunity to experience a work that has already entered the history of Swedish glass art and meet the artist behind one of the most significant glass works of our time.
