The Kingdom of glass is an area that spans four municipalities; Emmaboda, Lessebo, Nybro & Uppvidinge. There is much to discover here. Everything from glowing glass experiences to high-flying adventures above the treetops.
Shop directly at the mill
At each mill and at each glass house there are shops, large or small, where you can buy unique glass. May we advise you to take a classic glass factory tour and go from the factory to the cabin. And there is a lot of other exciting things here, such as furniture, art and flea markets.
Nature
The deep, enchanted forest and the many lakes and waterways are a cornerstone in the creation of the Glass Kingdom. Today, nature offers several opportunities for adventure and recreation. Here you can hike along a soft path in the spruce forest or let your paddlers break the still water surface of a lake. For those looking for adrenaline, there is also Northern Europe's longest Zipline here.
Kingdom of Culture
Here you can immerse yourself in personalities such as Vilhelm Moberg, the world-famous writer who put Småland on the map, and James Bond, our everyone's favorite agent. Visit one of the museums with a focus on glassworks and ironworks. Or why not try the craft yourself? You can try glassblowing in Kosta, Målerås or Orranäs. Another hot experience is the famous cabin herring, a real party night in the cabin.
