A guided tour includes a presentation of the glassworks and a visit to the glassworks during our regular production. You will learn about Kosta's history, glass and how glass is blown. 

The tour starts at the Kosta Boda Art Gallery.
 

Prices for guided tours

Adults: SEK 150

Students/senior citizens: SEK 120

Children aged 7–16: SEK 70

Information

A guided tour includes a seated experience of glassblowing and demonstrations of the craft together with our masters and a guide in a workshop that manufactures Kosta Glassworks' glass crafts. You will learn about Kosta's history, glass and how glass is blown. 

The tours start inside the glassworks.

Prices for guided tours

Adults: 100 SEK

Students/pensioners: 70 SEK

Children 7-16 years: 30 SEK

Children under 7: free

Summer 2026 is now open for booking!

During weeks 28 - 31, Kosta Glassworks will be open but in a different format than usual.

 Glass demonstration will be available Monday - Sunday.

10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

During a demonstration, you can follow the process from the red-hot glass mass to sparklingly beautiful crafts blown and shaped by our masters on site. A guide will take you through the process and you will learn about Kosta's history, the craft, what glass is made of, and how it is shaped. The demonstration start and end inside the Kosta glassworks. As a visitor, you can sit down if there is space available.

Glass demonstrations will be held in Swedish, English, and German according to the following schedule:

10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Swedish & German

11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Swedish & English

12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. Swedish & German

1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Swedish & English

2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Swedish & German

3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Swedish & English

 

Other information

Guided tours must be booked at least one day in advance. If you would like to book a guided tour on the same day, please contact Kosta Art Gallery on 0478-345 29.

Guided tours can be booked on request at 9 a.m. – but not on Fridays! However, you must book at least two days in advance via [email protected]

Guided tours are available in both Swedish and English. German is available on request during the low season.
