Glasblåsning

Continuation course - glasblowing

Now there is an opportunity for those who have previously shown interest to book a two-day basic course with us at Kosta Glasbruk on 5 - 6 October 2024.

During your days with us, you will gain knowledge of the basics of glassblowing.

The elements included are both theoretical and practical. We will go through what glass is, concepts and terms but also the history of Kosta Glassworks. You will visit both the Kosta Art Gallery for inspiration and our demonstration workshop to see glassblowing by our masters.

In the workshop you will learn how to catch the glass in one of our furnaces, mould, blow, sculpt and then grind, to then be able to take home what you have done.
