SM in glassblowing
On Friday 18 October, it is finally time for the Swedish Championship in glassblowing at Kosta Glasbruk!
Mill against mill, glassblower against glassblower. As an audience, you get to experience pure folk festival with elements of heat, adrenaline craftsmanship and unbearable excitement. You won't want to miss this!
The champions will compete in two different glassblowing disciplines during the evening.
For the whole family from about 18.00 - 21.00 - all seating tickets are released for reservation during September.
After-party at Kosta Hyttsill: 18 years limit approx. 21.00 - 00.00
The event is free!

A maximum of two (2) people per glassworks can apply but only one (1) person is guaranteed a place to represent their glassworks.
Competition rules & conditions

The competition is divided into two (2) different events.
Event 1: "The barrel".
The barrel must be "sunken" and have air all the way inside. We measure the smallest diameter, which means that a round dish can be bigger than an oblong one.
Event 2: "The cylinder".
The cylinder must have a diameter of no less than 10 cm and no more than 20 cm.
The glass must last all the way, i.e. be whole when we measure it.

The tools that may be used are scoops No 10 and 15, cutting scissors, ironing board, paper and compressed air. All tools are provided by the organiser.

You have six (6) minutes and may make a maximum of three (3) starts.

The sum of the competition branches will be totalled and the one with the most points in total will be the winner.
