Masterclass – Glass tasting
Does the glass really matter how the wine tastes? Yes – and during this exclusive masterclass you will experience the difference for yourself.
BookInformation
We taste four grape-typical wines – Riesling, oaked Chardonnay, classic Pinot Noir and grape-typical Cabernet Sauvignon – together with four classic, mouth-blown glasses from the Orrefors Difference series: Crisp 46 cl, Mature 63 cl, Rich and Primeur.
Each wine is tasted in the glass that is developed to highlight the character of the wine. Then we taste the same wine in a glass that is not optimal for the grape. How do the aroma, taste and experience change? What characters emerge – and what happens when the glass does not suit the wine?
Under the guidance of Maria Appelgren, sommelier and experienced wine profile with over 20 years of experience with wine, you will have an exciting and educational tasting where theory meets experience.
After the masterclass, you will understand for yourself why the choice of wine glass can actually make a big difference – and how you can choose the right glass to get the best out of both the wine and your own wine experience.
